Terms of Service

By creating an account or using Rokada, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email before they take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.

Rokada is a read-only financial tracking tool for Non-Resident Indians (NRIs). It allows you to track cross-border expenses, investments, and income across US banks, Indian NRE/NRO accounts, UPI payments, and cash — all in one reconciled view.

Rokada does not:

• Initiate, process, or facilitate any payment or money transfer.
• Hold, custody, or move funds on your behalf.
• Provide financial advice, investment recommendations, or tax guidance.
• Prepare, file, or assist with tax returns in any jurisdiction.
• Store your online banking username or password.

All financial data in Rokada is entered by you or imported from files you provide. Rokada displays this data back to you — it does not verify its accuracy against external sources (except where Plaid syncs US bank transactions directly).

To use Rokada, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Be the legal account holder — or an authorised representative — of any bank accounts, UPI accounts, or financial records you connect or import into Rokada.
• Provide accurate registration information (name and email address).

If you add a contributor (a family member or agent) to your account, you are responsible for ensuring that person also complies with these terms.

Rokada is a subscription-based service with the following plans:

Free trial

New accounts receive a 30-day free trial with full access to all features. No credit card is required to start. At the end of the trial, your account enters read-only mode — you can view existing data but cannot add new transactions or import statements.

Paid plans

• Essential — $7.99/month or $74.99/year. Up to 5 projects, manual entry and CSV/bank statement imports.
• Pro — $12.99/month or $119.99/year. Unlimited projects, all Essential features, plus direct US bank connection via Plaid.

Beta period

Rokada is currently in beta. Stripe billing is not yet active. During the beta period, access is provided free of charge to pilot users. We will notify you before billing begins and give you an opportunity to subscribe or cancel.

Cancellation and refunds

Once billing is active, you may cancel your subscription at any time. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial billing periods, except where required by law.

You agree to use Rokada only for lawful personal financial tracking. You must not:

• Import or enter financial data belonging to someone else without their explicit authorisation.
• Use automated scripts, bots, or scraping tools to access or extract data from Rokada.
• Attempt to bypass, disable, or circumvent any security or access control mechanism.
• Misrepresent your identity or account information.
• Use the service in any way that violates applicable laws, including those governing financial data, privacy, and cross-border transactions.

You retain ownership of all financial data you enter or import into Rokada. By using the service, you grant Rokada a limited licence to store, process, and display that data to you as necessary to operate the service.

We do not sell or share your data with third parties for commercial purposes. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

You can export your data as CSV or Excel at any time from within the app. You can request full deletion of your account and data by emailing hello@rokada.app.

Rokada is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:

• The service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
• Data displayed is accurate, complete, or up to date.
• The service is suitable for any particular financial purpose.

Rokada displays data as provided by you and your connected bank accounts. Always verify important financial figures against your official bank statements.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rokada and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service — including but not limited to financial losses, data loss, or decisions made based on data displayed in the app.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms or your use of Rokada is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim, or $50 USD, whichever is greater.

Rokada is a tracking and reporting tool only. It is not a financial adviser, bank, or payment processor. No financial decisions should be made based solely on data displayed in the app without independent verification.

You may close your account at any time by emailing hello@rokada.app.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, abuse the service, or if continued operation of your account creates legal or technical risk. In non-urgent cases, we will give you reasonable notice before termination.

Upon termination, your access to the service ends. Data deletion follows the process described in our Privacy Policy.

These terms are governed by and construed under the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts of Washington State.
