Contributor Roles — Owner, Contributor, and Viewer
Managing India finances is rarely a solo job — a spouse, a sibling, or a trusted agent in India often needs to see or log transactions too. Rokada supports three roles per project.
The three roles
- Owner — full control. Only the person who created the project is the Owner. Owners can invite and remove members, change project settings, and delete data.
- Contributor — can add and edit transactions and import statements on the project they're added to. Contributors cannot change project settings, invite other members, or delete the project.
- Viewer — read-only. Can see all transactions and reconciliation data on the project but can't make any changes.
A member only sees the specific project(s) they've been added to — not your full portfolio.
Inviting someone
From a project's Settings → Members panel:
- Click Invite.
- Enter their email address and choose a role — Contributor or Viewer.
- Click Send invite. The invite shows up under Pending invites until they accept.
- You can cancel a pending invite at any time from the same panel.
During the pilot: invite delivery isn't fully wired up yet, so the invitee won't automatically get an email. After creating the invite in-app, also email hello@rokada.app with the project name, their email, and the role, and we'll make sure they get access.
